When did that happen ? I had been putting off doing some admin until I couldn't put it off any longer, it just had to be done. It was pretty straight forward, name, address, date of birth that kind of thing. So I began and everything was running smoothly until it came to date of birth DAY tick MONTH tick YEAR .......it was a wheel of years so I began to scroll down and down, BIG shock it suddenly dawned on me that I was no longer part of the 21 st century or so it seemed. I was no longer planning what to have for my 21st birthday present from my parents, who I would meet and spend 30 + years with, which house would be my first purchase, would I have children, on and on until I reached my date of birth and realisation quickly followed that I had done all those things and I was entering an age where toys of my childhood were now appearing at retro Sunday fairs, my era of music had become cool nostalgia.... I have to admit it was a shock. ! I knew , of course I knew but nothing hammers it home quite like that ' Age Wheel '

A lovely friend (Audrey) bought me these gorgeous hyacinths as a Xmas gift and they have recently flowered meaning that when I wash the pots ( not often ! ) I am drenched in the most wonderful perfume - I just love it ! 

Maybe that would have been an incentive to wash the pots in years gone by??? PS I love the nude bag don't you ?

Where ever I am in the world I always take time out to look at shop windows and really appreciate the time and interest that has gone into it's creation. I feel sure it is not wholly to do with the fact that we have created attractive shop windows in our bag shops for over 30 years. As a child I can very clearly recall being so excited to look at the chosen window Xmas theme in our large department store. It was magical... the window depicted the story of Snow White and The Seven Dwarves. Each window was a continuous display of the story as it is told ending with Snow White on top of a coffin with her Prince bending over her to give the magical kiss ! It was truly breath taking and as a child I never tired of it. I am always very impressed with shop windows in Spain and southern France the most lack lustre of stock can be elevated to be enchanting. The photo shown is of a haberdashery shop in Seville - I have never seen a haberdashery shop in the UK with displays like this...have you ?

We have a new metallic black leather range in stock which is soft and lovely to touch. The range looks great with boots and jeans and also with lovely dresses. A great all rounder. Keep your eyes open for lots more colours and a slightly larger size.

I am not sure why but this tree really stopped me in my tracks. Isn't it eerie. The tree is huge and you are able to walk into the very heart of it. I must confess it made me feel a little uneasy - how many other people in the life of this tree have stood within it ?

Hi I just wanted to have a chat with you and say that times are hard for all of us just now and I feel we are all trying our very best to follow all the government rules. I am so aware when I am hand delivering bags to your doorstep that I must abide by all the distancing guidelines, even though it is very hard, as when I see you I am so genuinely pleased that I want to give you a hug. I have known many of my customers for a very long time and you have become friends.

Sorry I really didn't want to write about rain during the end of May ! What has happened to the weather, I have been in and out with washing, the first glimpse of sun and the washer is on . The other day the sun was shining and I more or less dragged a jacket off my husband's back so I could put all the quilted jackets in one wash. by the time it had reached the last spin there was a cloud over the house like Armageddon. I will gladly pay whatever the cost for any electrical appliance BUT the drier I am inexplicably mean...meaner than mean, no idea why ! So you can understand my dilema ...rain and more rain means I have to have the dryer on . I stand in front of it and keep opening the door checking to see if things are dry- which my husband says is self defeating...I know !! but can not help it working from home brings new problems I should go to the launderette and keep to selling handbags.

Well we are hopefully going to return to some semblance of normality very soon...hooray for that. Wearing "Cosy Joe" clothing {anything with an elastic waist and is only just a style step up from a baby grow} has to be a fashion leap in the right direction. What have I missed? LIPSTICK!  Those of you who know me, know that I am rarely if ever seen without a shade of colour to my lips. Wearing a mask you would presume would have forced me to keep my varied lipsticks {over 20 at the last count} in the dressing table drawer. NOT A CHANCE!!

I have persevered with the Cardinal Red/ Flamingo Pink/ Treacle Toffee/ Ibiza Nights et al. Do I care that the inside of my mask looks like I have had a thump to the lips? Not a bit of it. In Edwardian times I would definitely have been rifling through the beetroot patch. During WWII I would have found myself a GI with a stash of rouge and nylons. So hopefully with the relaxing of some COVID rules imminent I will be reaching for the Chanel Nude or Cardinal Red or Flamingo Pink and showing off my lips in their full glory again. 😂😂 

On a more serious note, I would like to acknowledge that COVID has been an absolute nightmare for a lot of family's and caused a great many bereavements much financial hardship, family separation, horrendous upset. So, I acknowledge that in no way wish cause upset or offence to anyone.
