Well if you had told me a while ago that I would ever be in a chaotic scrum for clotted cream I would have sincerely thought you were bonkers! HELLO I was! And I would not let go of my shopping trolley until my hand was tightly wrapped around a precious carton of the Queen of all creams CLOTTED. I didn't care about price nor did I care that I nearly lost my sandal whilst in hot pursuit of a new box of the nectar being brought into the store. I swear this cream needed Kardashian sized bodyguards, it needed the full celeb entourage too...instead it was a brawl of sweaty, determined would be Queens of Afternoon Teas - not wearing tea dresses, wearing joggers...and a good job too! Did I get my Clotted Cream? I would love to say yes but I am afraid I lost my nerve when a woman with iron fists and a back the size of a barn door blocked my path (and to add insult to injury she had a horrible bag too!!! Anyway that is kind of besides the point). I had to serve double cream instead and do you know what, the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations was such a fabulous event that nobody realised and it really didn't matter one jot.

We are the best country in the world for putting on a specatular party and wasn't it a 'PARTY' with Prince Louie being the star attraction (after the Queen of course).

At last we are all able to celebrate again ! COVID has been so hard for everybody, thank goodness we are well and are able to attend weddings,christenings and parties. Every now and then I see something that makes my heart BOOM! and I can tell you that recently my heart boomed as soon as I set eyes on our new collection. Time flies doesn't it. I now, in a blink of an eye ( or so it seems) am saying to my daughter ( my baby) for her to enjoy her special day with her two beautiful babies and not to worry about trying to fit everything into one Mother's Day. I suppose I am comfortable saying that because we have a great relationship. But there are many mums out there who are not so lucky where perhaps Mother's Day is a sad reminder of a mum no longer here- I am truly sorry, hold on to those good memories.

Weddings...with guests. REMEMBER them? After COVID I think we are all yearning for an invite from just about anybody! An opportunity to dress up, a little bit of glamour and celebrity (the proper kind!).  A day which takes ordinary people like us out of their normal routine and surroundings - brilliant. Well hand on heart I am sick and tired of wearing comfy, cosy, easy leisure wear which roughly translated means one step up from pyjamas !! I want to sort through my summer clothes and wear a dress WITHOUT boots. I can whole heartedly sympathise with those people who have SAD a condition that puts the patient into a state of weather /light controlled depression ( medically not 100% correct but you know what I mean). I think we all benefit from bright skies and sunny warm days. We smile more and we also I think pay more attention and care to our appearance. I am sure you feel just like me - I am tired of this never ending rainfall? I love to garden but hand on heart I am a bit of what I can only describe as a "fair weather gardener'' I only like to garden when the weather is fine. So I have just taken a look at my garden and all I can say is that I felt overwhelmed - there is so much to do !! The strong winds have blown over and smashed so many of my lovely garden pots that I shall have plenty to add to any new planters for drainage. Last autumn I can clearly recall looking at the garden and congratulating myself and my husband that the garden was what I call "on top", ready for the winter months and an easy Spring. No such luck the garden looks like it needs a mammoth amount of clearing up. WAIT!!! Then I saw a crocus just peeping through the soil, it is beautiful the colour of a Mediterranean sunset and it made me stop and think .... sometimes one has to look for the good and beauty in our surrounding and yes Spring and Summer are just around the corner which leads me nicely on. We are now busy sorting our way through some amazing new colourful styles for you.

So after a couple of years we have caved in and bought a puppy. I know, I know I said that after having Westie pups for 30 years out of our marriage ( I started very young !!!) and experiencing the sadness it brings when your dog dies that we would not have another. Well 2 years on and in spite of our grandson's pleading big blue eyes we kept to our decision, like an iron fist in a velvet glove until February 2nd 2022 ... we caved in, we failed miserably .....we bought a puppy for our grandson ! Hand on heart I think we were emotionally hijacked by a four legged cutie, she was now ours. Our grandson was so incredibly happy that he was frozen to the spot for a second or two, he genuinely was transfixed. Mr. Bag Heaven said it was the best money we have ever spent...I agreed . Little doe he realize that from now on we are keeping Zoflora in business, put it this way if Glade plug ins were an energy force we would have enough power to light up and supply every street in London. The adventure begins..................I will keep you posted.
